Since 1991, Avalon has implemented more than 150 demonstrations, applied research, education, policy-making and awareness-raising projects in 33 countries (23 European, 8 Asian and 2 African countries). Avalon's projects have always been participatory and implemented in cooperation with counterparts from the beneficiary countries, including organic NGOs, farmers' groups, local communities, ministries, universities, etc. With the organic farmers and other stakeholders, Avalon developed several projects on the added value of organic farming for biodiversity, environment, animal welfare, human health and various other issues. Avalon is an accountable and reliable project-implementing partner. It has been well known and praised for its sound but adaptive project management style and its tactical expectations management strategies.
