Since 1991, Avalon has implemented more than 150 demonstrations, applied research, education, policy making and awareness raising projects in 33 countries (23 European, 8 Asian and 2 African countries). Avalon’s projects have always been participatory and have been implemented in co-operation with counterparts from the beneficiary countries, including organic NGOs, farmers’ groups, local communities, ministries, universities, etc. With the organic farmers and other stakeholders Avalon developed several projects on the added value of organic farming for biodiversity, environment, animal welfare, human health and various other issues. Avalon is an accountable and reliable projects implementing partner and has been well known and praised for its sound, but adaptive project management style, as well as for its tactical expectations management strategies.
