Vladislav Popov appointed full professor

Vladislav Popov, our staff member representing Avalon in Bulgaria, has been appointed as full professor in the field of Ecology and Ecosystem Protection at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv.
Prof. Dr. Vladislav Popov has already been an expert in agroecology and ecosystem protection for many years. He has done extensive research into areas related to the protection of the environment in agricultural ecosystems.
Over the years Prof. Popov has become a communicator of organic agriculture methods and practices to diverse social groups and institutions, e.g. relevant ministerial structures, farmers, extensionists, policy makers and administrators in many countries in the Balkan region, Russia, the Kaukasus, Central Asia, Eastern Africa and Australia.In 2007 he set up Avalon's Bulgarian branch. As a project expert and manager he has been providing his expertise and has been managing and coordinating projects and programmes in the field of organic agriculture and marketing, agro-ecology and nature conservation.
