Network

An important instrument for achieving Avalon's goals is the Avalon Network, which brings together farmers, government institutions, NGOs, research institutes and businesses in the field of organic agriculture, biodiversity, agri-environment and sustainable rural development. EU-DG Environment has supported conferences of the Avalon Network for a number of years. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have financial support for this aspect of Avalon's work.
Other activities for engagement between Avalon's network partners are meetings during the Biofach, which is the world's largest trade fair for organic food and agriculture, newsletters and cooperation between network partners in a number of projects in several countries. The Avalon Network has over 200 member organisations in more than 30 countries.
